To be doing a small project with NODEMCU v1.0 ESP8266. I have used several module boards all integrated with a FT810 screen from

  • Screen FT810 5 inches  (from
  • GPS u-Blox M6
  • Radio FM RDA5807M
  • BMP180
  • SI7021
  • Card Reader microSD
  • NODEMCU v1.0
  • DS3231
The project is in progress, I will expand documentation, codes in a few days, with their libraries and photographs, for now I leave youtube video.

  Volume and screen layout
Posted by:  raufjay - 27-01-2018, 04:42 24 - Forum: STM32 - Replies (5)

Hello again,

I am back to the design table after a break.
I need your help in finding the volume control for Audio output. And how to change screen layout.

I am using Haoyu 5" 800x480 screen with STM32F103 bluepill.
This display uses FT811 with capacitive touch panel.

1) I want to have volume control for Audio output, I could not find it in this forum any thing about it.

2) I am using landscape screen layout. But I want 180 degree rotation as display shows upside down at the moment. I can not rotate the LCD because the pcb behind the LCD will also move upward and the cable from bluepill will get longer. Which causes screen not to turn on some time.

Thank you for your support.

Did anyone successfully tried to attach this screen to the ft81x?

attached it to a teensy 3.6 where a Riverdi 7" is already running.

Thumbs Up [SOLVED] Soft WRT Reset ESP8266
Posted by:  lightcalamar - 09-01-2018, 18:50 08 - Forum: ESP8266 - No Replies

Solucion al Soft WRT reset de las ESP8266
 He usado muy poco estas diminutas MCUs, y cuando las he probado me salio este error.
 Se trata del "perroguardian" de cualquier MCU que suelen tener por hardware y

Para una mayor comprensión del problema observen este vídeo;

He liedo muchas paginas, he visitado el foro oficial de Espressif y tengo por seguro  que nadie da una solución a este problema. Este es un ejemplo de lo que realiza la MCU, este es el error desde el serial;

Soft WDT reset

ctx: cont
sp: 3ffefa00 end: 3ffefcd0 offset: 01b0

3ffefbb0:  3ffeea7c 3ffeea24 00309000 402031d0
3ffefbc0:  3ffeea7c 3ffeea24 3ffeea38 4020348c
3ffefbd0:  3ffeea7c 3ffeea7c 3ffeea7c 3ffe8860
3ffefbe0:  3ffeea82 3ffeea7c 3ffeea2c 40204466

3ffefc00:  00000100 3ffee9fc 3ffeec78 40204685

La parte del codigo que da el problema es este;

 do {
 } while (!GD.inputs.tag);

Para que este no se presenté y active la ESP8266 el "perroguardian" (WathDog) hemos de substituir por este nuevo código que adjunto en el fichero.

Saludos y disfruten :)

  HOWTO Gameduino 3 playback .avi with sound
Posted by:  lightcalamar - 05-01-2018, 14:41 38 - Forum: Arduino - Replies (2)

Hello to all.
I experimented to put audio to the videos of the new Gameduino 3 shield review.
Now the videos have sound.

This be the test;

You have to modify the library simply with two lines.
Locate in GD2.h (line 1344);

and replace by;

Then you put new line add (after line 945):

#define OPT_SOUND            32
Restart IDE Arduino.

You need for example a video and an audio file, or transform yours. Use FFMPEG and SoX. Audio files must be mono 4/8 bit IMA ADPCM format or u-Lab, please follow documentation Programmer Guide FT81x Programmer Guide page 170.

I leave an example; examples files

Using SoX convert audio file format (example file .mp3);

sox -e ima-adpcm -r 8000 -b 8 myfile.mp3 audio.wav
Using FFMPEG, join sound with video;

ffmpeg -i fish.avi -i audio.wav -c:v copy -c:a copy fish_aud.avi
Connect Gameduino3 headphones output to an amplifier and play file ...
Enjoy! Angry

P.S. Please exuse my bad english in the video
